CAPC welcomes with great satisfaction the unanimous approval by the House of Representatives of legislations for the implementation of the National Health System (GESY).
CAPC also expresses gratitude to Anastasiades’ government, the Minister of Health Mr. G. Pamporidis and to all parties for their collectivity, responsibility and national duty, because GESY is a necessary social achievement.
For decades CAPC has participated and supported the implementation of GESY as this is the only way there will be equality and universality in health care.
CAPC, one of the main advocates of the supply of medicinal products in Cyprus, assures that it will fully cooperate with the Health Insurance Organisation and the Ministry of Health, so that patients have access to all medicinal products and treatments, something which unfortunately is not the case today.
The right of the physician to prescribe the medicinal product that is best suited for the patients treatment must also be recognised.
